Smart Search
Smart Search uses vector-powered semantic search to find content across your notes and conversations based on meaning, not just keywords.
How It Works
Yumi generates vector embeddings of your notes and chat content locally on your device using the multilingual-e5-base model. When you search, your query is matched against these embeddings to find semantically relevant results.
Every chat and note will be indexed in real-time to ensure context retrieval is fresh.
Depending on the context, smart search may be included alongside fuzzy search results.
Usage
Use Smart Search from the command palette or the search interface to find notes and conversations that are contextually related to your query.
Privacy
All embedding generation and search happens locally on your device. There are no external servers involved in the smart search process.
You may disable smart search in the settings under Settings > Smart Search.
