Installation

Download Yumi from the downloads page and install it on your platform.

macOS

  1. Download the .dmg file.
  2. Open the downloaded file and drag Yumi to your Applications folder.
  3. Launch Yumi from your Applications folder or Spotlight.

TIP

On first launch, macOS may show a security prompt. Right-click the app and select "Open" to bypass Gatekeeper on the first run.

Windows

  1. Download the .exe installer.
  2. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard.
  3. Launch Yumi from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.

TIP

On first launch, Windows SmartScreen may show a warning on first run. Click "More info" then "Run anyway" to proceed.

Linux

AppImage

  1. Download the .AppImage file.
  2. Make it executable: chmod +x yumi-*.AppImage
  3. Run the AppImage.

Deb

  1. Download the .deb package.
  2. Install it: sudo dpkg -i yumi_*.deb
  3. Launch Yumi from your application launcher.

System Requirements

  • macOS: macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later
  • Windows: Windows 10 or later
  • Linux: Ubuntu 20.04 or equivalent
  • RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended
  • Disk: 2GB minimum, 4GB recommended.

TIP

These system requirements are baseline requirements. As long as your system can run common software applications without much issue, then you can run Yumi with most of its features out of the box.
