Quick Start

This guide walks you through the basics of using Yumi after installation.

Creating an Account

In-App

  1. Launch app
  2. Click on "Create an account"
  3. Enter your email and create a password. Your name is optional.
  4. Verify using the OTP to activate your account.

Dashboard

  1. Open Yumi and click Sign Up in the sidebar.
  2. Enter your email and create a password. Your name is optional.
  3. Verify using the OTP to activate your account.

Your First Chat

  1. Click the Chat icon in the sidebar to open the AI chat view.
  2. Type a question or topic in the input field.
  3. Yumi will provide a direct response or search the web depending on the prompt.

Creating a Note

  1. Click Notes in the sidebar.
  2. Press Cmd+N (macOS) or Ctrl+N (Windows/Linux) to create a new note.
  3. Start typing. Notes support rich text editing, code blocks, and embedded content.

Setting Up a Workspace

To create workspaces, you must be on the Pro tier.

  1. Each of chat, notes, and web viewer will have a dropdown button either on the sidebar or at the top of the panel.
  2. The initial workspace is called Default Workspace. You cannot delete or rename this workspace.
  3. You can name your workspace anything you like.
