Quick Start
This guide walks you through the basics of using Yumi after installation.
Creating an Account
In-App
- Launch app
- Click on "Create an account"
- Enter your email and create a password. Your name is optional.
- Verify using the OTP to activate your account.
Dashboard
- Open Yumi and click Sign Up in the sidebar.
- Enter your email and create a password. Your name is optional.
- Verify using the OTP to activate your account.
Your First Chat
- Click the Chat icon in the sidebar to open the AI chat view.
- Type a question or topic in the input field.
- Yumi will provide a direct response or search the web depending on the prompt.
Creating a Note
- Click Notes in the sidebar.
- Press
Cmd+N(macOS) orCtrl+N(Windows/Linux) to create a new note. - Start typing. Notes support rich text editing, code blocks, and embedded content.
Setting Up a Workspace
To create workspaces, you must be on the Pro tier.
- Each of chat, notes, and web viewer will have a dropdown button either on the sidebar or at the top of the panel.
- The initial workspace is called Default Workspace. You cannot delete or rename this workspace.
- You can name your workspace anything you like.
